Deacon attends Mansion House banquet

The Deacon was delighted to attend the annual Mansion House Banquet of The Worshipful Company of Gardeners, as a guest of their Master, Cindy Peck. After a dinner which included a wonderful plum sorbet and spiced poached plum dessert, speakers included author Sebastian Faulks CBE and The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor, Alderman Alastair King DL. In a nod to the Lord Mayor's Scottish roots, he presented the Master with a length of his official Lord Mayor's tartan. 

The Clerk was also privileged to attend as a guest of the Clerk of the Worshipful Company.
